Frequently asked questions

Which cards are supported?

TapCard supports Mandiri e-money, BNI TapCash, BRI Brizzi, and BCA Flazz generation 2. Compatibility depends on the card generation and your phone’s NFC capabilities. BCA Flazz generation 1 is not supported on iPhone.

Which devices can I use?

Use an iPhone running iOS 17 or later, or an Android phone running Android 8.0 or later. Scanning requires a device that supports NFC reading for your card type. On Android, make sure NFC is enabled in your device settings.

Where should I hold my card?

On iPhone, hold the card near the top of the phone. On Android, the NFC antenna position varies by model and is usually on the back. Move the card slowly to find the antenna, then hold it still until the scan finishes.

Why isn’t my card detected, or why does a scan stop?

Remove the card from your wallet and keep other NFC cards away. Hold one card still against the antenna. Remove thick cases or metal accessories if they interfere. Start a new scan if the session ends.

Do I need an account or internet connection?

No account or connection is needed to scan cards or view saved data. Opening online support, sending email, or sharing with online services may require a connection.

Can TapCard top up a card or activate a pending balance?

TapCard reads information available on the chip. It does not provide top-ups, pending balance activation, payments, or balance transfers. Use your bank or card issuer’s official services for those actions.

Why is some transaction history missing?

Cards may store a limited number of transactions, and available information varies by issuer. TapCard’s balance-check history records your scans; card transaction history comes from the chip. Contact your issuer for official transaction records.

How do I export a report?

Open Settings → Export history, choose PDF or CSV, then select your cards and date range. Save or share the file using the available options. You can also open export from a card’s detail screen.

How do I delete my data?

Delete an individual card from its menu or detail screen. To remove all saved cards and history, open Settings → Delete all data and confirm. Exported files and backups must be managed separately.

Is TapCard an official banking app?

TapCard is an independent app. Contact your card issuer’s official support for balance discrepancies, top-ups, lost cards, or transaction issues. The TapCard team can help with using the app.
